Consign
Consign to save money on purchases of men, women's, childrens' and baby clothing, furniture and accessories. Visit different stores. Talk to owners and employees alike. Each person may have a different view with additional valuable information. Find out about store policies like when markdowns are made on aged inventory and what the store's disposal policies are regarding items that remain unsold after some period of time. Shop near the end of expiration periods and at the end of seasons. Ask when seasonal clothes are removed from the racks. Store owners are willing to bargain and negotiate. They don't make any money until something sells. Be a good buyer. Realize you're buying used merchandise for little money and grant some leniency when evaluating items.
Consign to make money by converting unwanted items into cash. Your options include but are not limited to pawn shops, consignment shops, garage sales, flea markets, individuals (pickers) who buy items outright and resell or consign them at resale and consignment shops. Check with your tax payer to determine if you have enough deductions just to donate unwanted items to charity, or dontate them anyway as an act of kindness. Perhaps one or more of your organizations conduct bizarres where items are donated for sale and proceeds go to the sponsoring organization. Churches, mens clubs and youth organizations all consign for the purpose of raising capital.
